Indian Chess Players strike it rich
India finished with a rich haul at the World Youth & Cadets Championship 2015 in Halkidiki, Greece on Thursday.
The players from India dominated the event, winning as many as 11 medals, among them 5 gold, three silver and three bronze. Russia and USA took 4 medals each, but none of them was gold. Iran, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Germany, Greece, Uzbekistan and Vietnam have one gold medal each.

Savithasri of Kanchi District narrowly missed the medal and finished 5th and increased her fide rating by 51 points. However she made waves in the tournament.
